Batteryguard XL battery safe passes VDMA 24994 test!
Our Batteryguard XL battery safe has successfully passed the rigorous VDMA 24994 test!
This is a significant milestone that confirms our lithium-ion battery safes can withstand extreme situations, such as fires and explosions caused by lithium-ion batteries. This provides an independently proven safe solution for charging and storing batteries, tested according to the stringent VDMA 24994 requirements.
What does the VDMA 24994 test involve?
The VDMA 24994 sets strict requirements for battery safes. During testing, the safe must demonstrate that fire and toxic smoke are fully contained inside, even when a battery enters thermal runaway and explodes. The test also checks that the exterior of the safe doesn’t become dangerously hot and that the doors remain sealed under extreme conditions.
Only battery safes that can withstand these harsh conditions pass the test. Our Batteryguard XL has met all these requirements, proving once again that we lead the way in safety.
Tested by an accredited testing institute
The test was carried out by the European testing institute GRYFITLAB, one of only two institutes accredited by the ECB-S to perform VDMA 24994 tests. This further highlights the reliability, quality, and independence of the test results.
