Safely charging batteries from a standard socket

Do you work with smaller batteries, such as those for two-way radios, hand scanners or power tools, and don’t have three-phase power on site? In this spacious battery safe you can charge a large number of smaller batteries at the same time. The continuous charging system ensures this is done safely via a single 230V connection. That way you always have charged batteries ready, without having to modify your electrical installation.

Delivered with European sockets as standard; versions with UK, French or Swiss sockets are available on request.

Continuous charging system ElectrIQ explained

Even with a standard socket, you can charge safely thanks to the ElectrIQ charging system. This battery safe employs a continuous charging system, allowing all levels to charge simultaneously, provided the total current remains below 16 amperes. No manual intervention is needed—the safe manages the process. For more details, refer to the section How many chargers can you connect?

  • All batteries charge concurrently, with a combined maximum of 16A

  • The safe automatically distributes power across all 20 sockets

  • 24/7 non-stop charging

Dutch transportation company Arriva utilises this safe to securely charge conductors’ and drivers’ two-way radios at locations without three-phase power.

Safe shutdown in case of overload

If too many high-power batteries are connected simultaneously, the safe temporarily halts charging—without tripping the circuit breaker. A simple press of the reset button allows you to resume charging.

How many chargers can you connect? Here’s how to calculate

This safe features 20 sockets with a total capacity of 16 amperes. If your two-way radios each consume 0.8A, you can connect exactly 20 chargers simultaneously: 20 chargers × 0.8A = 16A. This utilises all sockets while staying within the safe limit.

Note:

Always check the amperage on your chargers’ labels. Exceeding 16A will cause the safe to shut down automatically for safety reasons.
